Today
Today´s Snowbike is the result of more than 50 years of research
and development. With only approximately 7 kg, the bikes evolved into a high tech product
with remarkable riding performance and transportation comfort features.

50 patents and trademarks
Within the Brenter company history, more than 50 major patents
and trademarks have
been applied for to improve the evolution of the Snowbike. From the very
beginning with the "Sitzski" in 1949 all the way to the moderen active
suspension system, Brenter has always been the leader in this industry. |

2007 World Record
107.400 vertical feet 62 runs within 11 hours NONSTOP topspeed
112km/h. Harald Brenter and Hermann Koch set up this marvelous
record in Obertauern on March 21 2007 both on their C4´s. |

From the heart of the Alps
Built in the hometown of the famous christmas song "Silent
Night, Holy Night", the Brenter Snowbike comes from
Oberndorf (near Salzburg),
the heart of the European alps. |

2002 NEW teaching method established
Not only the Snowbike itself has been improved over the years.
The Brenter team, lead by CEO Dr. Bernd-Eric Brenter, also
developed a new and unique teaching method: with the reflex
based "fun to learn" technique the learning curve is very
steep. The Snowbike and this teaching method come as one unity.

1972 Erich Brenter and GRACE KELLY
Snowbike has always been enjoyed not only by the public but also
by the High Society. Whether it was the royal families, movie
or pop stars, Erich Brenter became the personal trainer for
many of them (e.g. Grace Kelly and her family). |

Ranheid & Erich Brenter
Erich Brenter (born in 1941), the son of the company´s founder Engelbert Brenter,
and his wife Ranheid grew the company from its modest
beginnings to a worldwide operation. |

70 ies World champions on Brenter
Erich and his Norwegian wife Ranheid
were the leaders of the
the Brenter Snowbike Racing team in the 60íes
and 70-ies winning countless trophies and titles. Among them
the European and World Championships. |

1968 Big fire destroys the factroy
On November 19, 1968, a disastrous fire destroyed the
entire Brenter facility. The
production of one year was lost in one night! With a restart in
Oberndorf, Brenter built a modern factory which is still the base for the
worldwide Snowbike operations. |

1967 Erich Brenter becomes CEO of the
Familybusiness
As a racer or as a CEO Erich Brenter always enjoyed sharing
his passion with his family and friends. |

1964 Guinness Speed world record
1964 in Cervinia, Italy. Erich Brenter sets the world speed record on his
wooden Skibob with 166 km/h. This grants him an entry in the "Guiness Book
of Records". For more than 30 years this record was unbeaten. |

1949 Engelbert Brenter invents the "sitski"
on March 10, 1949, Engelbert Brenter (born in 1887) submits
his patent for the "Sitzski" which is the origin to the todays
Snowbike.

1923 Company foundation
In 1923, Engelbert Brenter starts his family business in
Hallein (near Salzburg Austria) as a cartwright, manufacturing
his first skis and sleighs. |
